Job Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operator/Loader to oversee operations in our production yard.

  • To ensure safe and effective production, the Operator/Loader will conduct pre-start checks on all equipment and machinery before use.
  • The role also involves reporting any faults to the supervisor immediately.
  • Additionally, the Operator/Loader will drive or reverse trailers in the yard, cage, and bar shop, as well as ensure safe loading and unloading of trucks.
  • A key responsibility is stock count weekly, keeping the yard neat, tidy, and safe, emptying scrape bins, and working with the manager to set up the yard.
  • Further duties include helping load cells onto trucks and loading bar or coil into the shed.

About You:

  • You will have previous experience in production processes and quality control.
  • Prior experience operating heavy machinery and holding a forklift license is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, combined with high organizational abilities and attention to safety requirements, are also crucial.
  • A good understanding of computer programming is advantageous, as is holding a truck license (HR-MC).
  • COR training and First Aid qualifications are desirable but not required.
