Eric Child & Sons is a family-owned and operated business specialising in land clearing, mulching, and green waste management. We are currently seeking a Yard Person/Excavator Operator to join our team. This hands-on role involves maintaining an organised, clean and efficient yard and workshop environment. We are looking for someone who is keen, energetic, physically fit, and ready to work.

Key Responsibilities


• General labour tasks around the yard


• Cleaning and washing vehicles/machines


• Sweeping and water pressuring the workshop


• Loading trucks


• Managing mulch stockpiles


• Organising and storing parts


• Receiving goods and picking up orders


• Basic equipment maintenance, servicing and repairs

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:


• A strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude


• Excellent communication skills


• A current QLD Driver's Licence


• A valid Excavator Licence


• A Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Preferred but not essential:


• Forklift Licence
