We currently have an opportunity for a highly experienced Planner with 15+ years' experience to join our Planning team in Sydney or Newcastle. As a key member of our planning leadership team, you will be responsible for growing the Planning Teams market presence across professional networks in NSW, as well as fostering new opportunities and relationships within the built environment sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Planning Manager in expanding the Planning Teams market presence across professional networks in NSW.
  • Proactively identify and foster new opportunities and relationships within the built environment sector.
  • Deliver planning analysis and research via a commercially astute lens to confidently deliver exceptional results.
  • Deliver Expert Evidence within the Land and Environment Court.
  • Keep abreast of legislative and policy changes within the planning realm.
  • Manage several projects at any one time without direct supervision.
  • Mentor and lead junior staff to assist the overall growth of the team.
  • Liaise with clients, councils, consultants, and other government agencies.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
  • 15+ years' hands-on experience with tertiary qualifications in town planning or equivalent.
  • Post-graduate qualifications are advantageous.
  • Have previously undertaken a senior/leadership role within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated technical autonomy working across multiple sectors, specifically town planning, property, and development.
  • Highly proficient in business, client, and project development.
  • Be driven to pass on your knowledge by mentoring junior staff.
  • A thorough understanding of project budgets and deliverables while maintaining excellent client service that we are known for.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
