Environmental Sustainability Specialist

The HumeLink West Project seeks an Environmental Advisor to provide environmental expertise, facilitate sustainability initiatives, and engage with stakeholders.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the project meets all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks, demonstrating a commitment to mitigate or eliminate those risks.
- Understand and effectively undertake SHE accountabilities.
- Identify and implement initiatives that position the Project as a leader in Environmental practices.
- Collaborate with managers and subcontractor organisations as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and company policies and processes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- At least 5 years construction experience in the related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship skills.
- Sound knowledge of environmental legislation and requirements.
- Proficiency in current software versions of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and email.
- Industry and/or project induction in accordance with legislation.
- Task training or skills to suit specific project activities and their associated risks.
