Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

Job Description:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of environmental compliance, promoting sustainable practices and ensuring regulatory adherence within our operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement environmentally friendly systems to minimize the impact of our operations on the environment.
  • Conduct baseline assessments and risk evaluations to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Advise on best practices for pollution prevention, waste management and environmental conservation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Collaborate with teams to establish and maintain environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to enhance environmental awareness and promote a culture of environmental stewardship.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including air and water quality, emissions and waste disposal practices.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and environmental advocacy groups to address concerns and maintain positive community relations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in environmental management, preferably within the fuel or energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, environmental impact assessments and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
