The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our South Australian Sales Team, based in Wingfield, SA.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for hunting and securing new business opportunities across small to medium enterprises, and will bring a genuine passion for sales, customer engagement and the thrill of the chase.

This position will provide a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the waste management industry and develop your experience further.

  • Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Ensure long-term growth and profitability of the division by identifying and developing relationships with key clients and generating new business.
  • Submit quotes and follow up on leads to close sales.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Meet sales targets in accordance with business metrics and targets.
  • Collaborate with other business units at Cleanaway.

About You

  • A passion for business development and sales experience generating new business.
  • Proven experience in a structured sales or business development environment.
  • Previous experience in using a Customer Relationship Management tool, such as Salesforce, preferred.
  • Excellent time management via your calendar to ensure you have adequate time infield and manage administration tasks.
  • This is an autonomous role, so you must be a self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A tenacious, resilient attitude and results-focused approach.
  • Work well under pressure, hunts opportunities and drives new business.
