Job Overview

The Associate Production Manager serves as a key player in ensuring the seamless operation of productions.

  • Manages show schedules, collaborating closely with Coordinators to guarantee timely project completion.
  • Mentors and guides Production Coordinators and PAs, providing expert guidance and support to help them excel.
  • Collaborates with Producers and Production Managers to drive production goals, milestones, and targets.
  • Works alongside Coordinators on artist schedules, overseeing large-scale picture schedules while tracking client needs, reviews, and deliveries.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in VFX production, with a strong working knowledge of post-production techniques and terminology. They will demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects, diverse personalities, and strict deadlines.

Additional responsibilities may include accompanying VFX Supervisors and Matchmovers on location for blue screen and principle photography work, serving as the primary point person between Production and VFX Editors, and reserving equipment and resources needed for location and stage work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Post-Production Techniques: Proficiency in VFX production, including knowledge of post-production software and tools.

Leadership and Management: Ability to mentor and guide team members, providing guidance and support to ensure success.

Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and stakeholders.
