Job Overview:

A seasoned Technology Strategist is required to spearhead and deliver large-scale Workplace Technology initiatives across a distributed workforce.

The successful candidate will oversee the entire equipment lifecycle—from procurement to deployment and decommissioning—focusing on laptop refresh programs, Microsoft Teams rollout, and collaboration tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead end-to-end delivery of workplace technology projects, encompassing EUC, hardware lifecycle management, and collaboration platforms.
  • Oversee procurement, deployment, and retirement of end-user devices such as laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Drive the adoption and rollout of Microsoft Teams across the organization.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases along with cost/benefit analyses.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, reporting, and financial governance.
  • Collaborate with IT, service desk, facilities, and external vendors.
  • Promote change management, training, and ensure seamless handover to BAU support teams.
  • Apply appropriate project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) in accordance with internal frameworks.
  • Travel to various business sites and stakeholder locations across Victoria.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management focusing on workplace technology and EUC.
  • A proven track record in delivering large-scale laptop refresh and device lifecycle projects.
  • Experience with collaboration platform deployments, preferably MS Teams.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive business cases, manage project financials, and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
  • Strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and project governance skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Victoria for project activities and stakeholder management.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise or distributed workforce environments.
  • Knowledge of AV, desktop support, or IT infrastructure is beneficial.
