UNIX Security Operations Role

The UNIX Security Engineering team oversees all operational tools that support security for UNIX systems. This role supports other security engineers in our group and works closely with business sponsors to deliver a secure solution.

In this position, you will work with the team to gather and understand requirements, collaborate with colleagues to ensure a successful approach, and contribute to various security initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.

  • Work collaboratively with the team to gather and understand project requirements.
  • Participate in establishing standards and best practices to ensure a successful approach.
  • Contribute to multiple security projects simultaneously and effectively manage competing priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who can execute tasks efficiently and effectively. Required Skills:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience or security engineering expertise.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience working with UNIX OS, including permissions management and administration.
  • Scripting skills using languages like Perl or Python.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures, with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
