Job Summary

This UNIX Security Operations role is a key position within the Security Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing operational tools that support security for UNIX and collaborating with the IT Security Infrastructure Operations team to ensure seamless execution of tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. They will also be proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously and possess experience with UNIX OS and scripting languages such as PERL and Python.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Security Engineering team to gather and understand requirements for UNIX security initiatives.
  • Work closely with the IT Security Infrastructure Operations team to develop and implement best practices for security tool management.
  • Contribute to various security initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.
  • Monitor and report on security metrics to ensure optimal performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in security engineering or related field.
  • Experience with UNIX OS, scripting languages (PERL, Python), and tool management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
