UNIX Security Operations Role

This position is responsible for overseeing operational tools that support UNIX security. The IT Security Infrastructure Operations team works closely with business sponsors and supports other security engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to gather and understand requirements.
  • Work with team standards to ensure a successful approach to solving problems.
  • Contribute to various security initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.
  • Monitor and report on system performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in security engineering or related field.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in UNIX operating systems.
  • Experience with UNIX scripting and management.
  • PBRUN and Unix Scripting (PERL, Python) are beneficial skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to handle and administer permissions on UNIX devices.
  • Basic Microsoft Office operation.
  • Ability to execute batch files.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability around complex problems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
