Job Title: UNIX Security Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UNIX Security Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational tools that support security for UNIX, working closely with our business sponsors, and contributing to various security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the team to gather and understand requirements for operational tooling and security best practices.
  2. Develop and maintain standards for UNIX security operations, ensuring a successful approach to problem-solving and solution implementation.
  3. Provide technical expertise and assistance to other security engineers, as needed, to ensure seamless execution of security-related tasks.
  4. Maintain continuous monitoring and reporting of security-related metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Information Science or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in security engineering, with a focus on UNIX operating systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Previous customer service experience is an asset.
  • Experience with UNIX OS, scripting languages (e.g., PERL, Python), and managing UNIX tools.
