- An exciting opportunity exists for a Relationship Manager within the corporate banking sector, based in Sydney. The organisation is renowned for its supportive leadership and commitment to professional growth, offering you the chance to work alongside knowledgeable colleagues in an inclusive environment.
You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by cultivating strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Your day-to-day activities will involve engaging with stakeholders from diverse industries such as renewables, transport, utilities, and public-private partnerships. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for new business through networking efforts while also supporting or leading the end-to-end process of corporate finance transactions.
- Build and nurture internal and external networks to identify new business opportunities and foster long-term client relationships within the corporate banking sector.
- Support or lead the origination, development, due diligence, approval, and implementation of complex corporate finance transactions tailored to client needs.
- Develop bespoke financial solutions by demonstrating a deep understanding of clients' businesses and proactively managing a forward-looking business pipeline.
- Arrange and execute credit products for corporate transactions, including bilateral, club, and syndicated facilities to support clients' strategic objectives.
- GrowCount and manage a diversified loan portfolio with careful consideration of geography, industry trends, and risk factors to ensure optimal composition.
- Recognise potential risks affecting both clients and the bank; implement appropriate risk management strategies to safeguard interests.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services while maintaining high standards of compliance and documentation.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders across various industries to facilitate effective communication and successful transaction outcomes.
- Monitor market developments relevant to clients' sectors to provide timely advice and innovative solutions that add value.
- Contribute positively to the team's inclusive culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and participating in ongoing professional development initiatives.
To excel in this role, your background should include substantial experience within Australia's financial services landscape—ideally spanning at least three years. Your academic achievements underpin your technical proficiency, while hands-on exposure to sectors such as renewables or infrastructure enhances your ability to understand complex client requirements. You bring not only advanced analytical capabilities but also strong interpersonal skills that enable you to communicate effectively with stakeholders at every level.
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline provides you with the foundational knowledge required for success in this role.
- At least three years of professional experience within Australia's corporate banking or related financial services sector ensures you are familiar with local market dynamics.
- A proven track record working on transactions within renewables, transport, utilities or public-private partnerships is highly desirable for this position.
- Strong legal acumen combined with expertise in documentation processes enables you to navigate complex agreements confidently.
- Advanced financial modelling abilities allow you to assess opportunities thoroughly and present data-driven recommendations.
- Exceptional risk analysis skills equip you to identify potential challenges early on while proposing effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills empower you to engage sensitively with multiple stakeholders from varied backgrounds.
- A collaborative approach fosters positive relationships both internally among colleagues and externally with clients.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development reflects your enthusiasm for staying current with industry best practices.
This organisation stands out as an employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every team member feels supported in their personal and professional growth. With a focus on collaboration rather than competition, employees benefit from access to extensive training resources designed to enhance both technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
