Job Title: Training Officer Tactical Skills

Deliver high-quality training programs and ensure consistency across all tactical skills programs.

  • Develop instructional standards that promote excellence in tactical skills training.
  • Design assessment activities to measure competency in the tactical skills curriculum.
  • Evaluate training procedures and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tactical skills training curriculum and content.

Promote high standards among correctional officers through training and professional development.

Liaise with management to coordinate a training calendar for tactical skills programs.

Ensure the safety of course participants undergoing high-risk training while complying with WH&S regulations.

Store, transport, and issue weapons, ammunition, and munitions in accordance with relevant legislation.

Conduct armoury audits as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver tactical skills training to instructors and custodial correctional officers.
  2. Assist in designing instructional standards and assessment activities.
  3. Evaluate training procedures and processes.
  4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of tactical skills training curriculum and content.
  5. Promote high standards among correctional officers.
  6. Coordinate a training calendar for tactical skills programs.
  7. Ensure the safety of course participants.
  8. Manage armouries.
