Firesoft People is a leading provider of innovative IT infrastructure solutions. We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solution Designer to join our team.



Job Summary


We are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Solution Designer to support the delivery of business-critical infrastructure services. The successful candidate will have a solid background in IT infrastructure and excellent technical skills, as well as strong communication and project coordination abilities.



About You


The ideal candidate will have experience in technical design processes, including requirements gathering, generating design documentation, and implementation planning. They will also have experience in supporting project planning, delivery, and execution, with a good understanding of project management concepts. Familiarity with Cloud IaaS/PaaS Services such as AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.



Duties and Responsibilities


The Infrastructure Solution Designer will be responsible for evaluating infrastructure requirements and elements of business projects and requests. They will apply their knowledge of good IT infrastructure practices, functionality, and efficiency to bring together the necessary technical analysis and design to formulate solutions. This will involve providing advice on, documenting, and planning the delivery of these solutions, as well as coordinating the implementation of designs to ensure a high-quality solution goes into production.



Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong ability to see the technology "big picture" and consider broader operational and organisational objectives in everything that you do. You should be able to take technical leadership where required, or defer to specialists as the situation demands. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate clear and concise information tailored to suit the audience. A focus on quality and attention to detail is also critical.



What We Offer


In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of AUD $120,000 - AUD $160,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role is based in Sydney, NSW, with the option for remote work.
