Job Title: Manager Sector Engagement And Coordination

Description:

The Manager Sector Engagement and Coordination plays a pivotal role within the newly established Stakeholder, Community and Consumer best practice team. This strategic position ensures high-quality sector engagement and coordination of communications with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating whole-of-department level engagement forums and activities to align with the department's strategic objectives.
  • Coordinating regular strategic stakeholder communications to health services and the broader sector, ensuring alignment with the department's narrative and key messages.
  • Managing stakeholder relationship management and providing strategic advice to inform departmental stakeholder and reputation risk management.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. To embed the new engagement operating model in the sector engagement team, fostering a culture of best practice engagement.
  2. To establish systems ensuring engagement across portfolios is coordinated and aligned with the department's strategic objectives, narrative, and key messages.
  3. To develop and deliver coordinated department-level stakeholder engagement forums and activities.
  4. To manage stakeholder relationship management, including involvement in customer relationship management software, and provide strategic advice to inform departmental stakeholder and reputation risk management.
  5. To identify and actively manage emerging issues and areas of risk for government, the department, and the community.

Requirements:

  • Able to drive best practice approaches in engagement forums and stakeholder communication channels.
  • Able to forge strong connections across the department, other government departments, and external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
