Lead Health Service Designer

This is a senior role that oversees health service evaluations and design initiatives within a research-focused team. The Lead Health Service Designer will ensure existing and future services remain up-to-date and yield significant outcomes and impacts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage service review and design initiatives to optimise, innovate, and explore new or enhanced models of care, aligning with the organisation's future care strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with external and internal stakeholders, including funders, to identify, co-design, and deliver improved or innovative models of care.
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed journals by publishing insights related to service design and development, presenting findings at conferences and public forums.
  • Support grant and tender applications for service refinement or innovation, planning, writing, and submission to secure funding.
  • Cultivate strong relationships both within the organisation and externally to establish it as a leader in delivering innovative services.
  • Provide expert recommendations and briefings to internal stakeholders, sharing learnings related to service optimisation and innovation.
  • Lead the writing and dissemination of service review and design insights to ensure organisational learning and improvement.

This is a senior role that requires a relevant health degree with postgraduate qualification, clinical leadership experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering health services, program logic and evaluation knowledge, leadership competence, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
