The Health Service Design Lead oversees health service evaluations and design initiatives to enhance optimisation, innovation, and exploration across workstreams.
- Develop and manage service review and design initiatives that optimise, innovate, and explore new or enhanced models of care. These efforts align with a strategic framework for healthcare services.
- Work closely with both external and internal stakeholders, including funders, to identify, co-design, and deliver improved or innovative models of care.
- Contribute to peer-reviewed journals by publishing insights related to service design and development. Additionally, present findings at conferences and other public forums.
- Assist in grant and tender applications for service refinement or innovation. Your role involves effective planning, writing, and submission to secure funding for healthcare projects.
- Cultivate strong relationships both within the organisation and externally. These partnerships will help establish it as a leader in delivering innovative services.
- Provide expert recommendations and briefings to internal stakeholders, sharing learnings related to service optimisation and innovation.
- Lead the writing and dissemination of service review and design insights to ensure organisational learning and improvement.
- Relevant Health Degree with Postgraduate Qualification: Having a relevant health degree with a postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
- Clinical Leadership Experience: Significant experience in a clinical leadership role is essential.
- Service Design and Delivery Excellence: Proven excellence in designing and delivering health services, including both new and enhanced models of care.
- Program Logic and Evaluation Knowledge: Familiarity with program logic and evaluative techniques, including qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial at both strategic and operational levels. The ability to collaborate within a team, negotiate effectively, and interact with senior executives is essential.
- Leadership Competence: Demonstrated experience in leadership, including effective communication of a vision, strategic planning, priority setting, and resource coordination within complex work programs.
- External Relationship Building: The candidate should be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key external agencies and committees.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, consistently producing high-quality outputs.
- Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures whilst managing multiple tasks.
