Austin Health is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join their Physiotherapy Department. The role involves working collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals to provide best practice care for patients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients, liaising with family members and caregivers as required, and facilitating a coordinated approach to total patient management.

They will also be expected to appropriately document patient management and provide information to relevant parties, as well as participate in continuing education activities.

A regular day will see the Allied Health Assistant:

  • Assessing and treating patients, promoting effective communication and collaboration
  • Facilitating a coordinated approach to patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient workflow
  • Documenting patient management and providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Participating in ongoing education and training, enhancing skills and knowledge in physiotherapy and healthcare
