Casual Physiotherapy Specialist

Role Summary:
As a Casual Physiotherapy Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to our patients. You will be working in an acute healthcare setting, managing patient care and developing treatment plans that meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert physiotherapy management for patients across the designated service
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet individual patient needs
• Communicate assessment and treatment outcomes to nursing, medical, and other Allied Health staff via documentation and ward rounds
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and services
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required
• Work effectively within approved scope of practice under supervision by more senior clinical staff as appropriate
• Perform duties to the best of your ability and to a standard acceptable to St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, by-laws, and directions
• Treat others with respect and behave professionally at all times, adhering to the hospital's Code of Conduct
• Only access confidential information when necessary for business purposes and maintain confidentiality once accessed
• Participate in annual performance review process and actively seek opportunities for professional development and growth
Requirements:
• Recent experience in and knowledge of physiotherapy management in an acute healthcare setting, particularly neurosurgery, stroke, and neurology
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports as required
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
• Ability to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities
