Salary

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary package, with an estimated annual salary ranging from $96,459 to $105,140 (plus Super). In addition, a leaseback vehicle is available for use during work hours, providing a convenient and cost-effective solution for daily travel.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Water And Sewer Engineer to join our team as an Assets Engineer (Water & Sewer). This key role will involve ensuring that Council's water and sewerage related asset management systems are up-to-date and accurate, informing sustainable annual and long-term works programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and review Council's Water and Sewer Asset Management Plans for preventative maintenance, renewal, upgrade, and expansion of water and sewerage infrastructure.
  • Ensure Council has accurate water and sewerage asset data, including attributes, condition, and defects, to inform renewal programs and funding needs.
  • Manage and coordinate consultants, teams, and contractors for specific projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or an associated discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in asset management planning, particularly in programming maintenance, renewals, upgrades, and construction of mechanical, electrical, and civil works infrastructure.
  • Experience in a similar role, including public works engineering design or a similar field at both strategic and operational levels.
