Senior Renewable Energy Approvals Specialist

The Environmental Approvals Specialist will play a key role in supporting renewable energy projects. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced consultants to advance their careers with a global leader.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and/or support environmental approvals for the renewable energy sector, covering various jurisdictions as applicable.
- Collaborate with other professionals to execute projects, participating on teams composed of multi-disciplinary experts from multiple offices globally.
- Develop technical skills, project experience, and general consulting and decision-making skills.
- Contribute to proposal development, including technical scopes and cost estimates in accordance with policies and processes.
- Direct and monitor project management activities, including task delegation, subcontractor management, health & safety protocol management, monitoring of performance, quality review of deliverables, and interaction with clients.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental planning or science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant infrastructure and/or energy industry experience, including environmental approvals/permitting and/or management.
- Working knowledge of QLD-specific regulations, including Planning Act 2016, Vegetation Management Act 199, Nature Conservation Act 1992, and Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
- Experience managing approvals for infrastructure projects, with renewables sector experience desirable.
- Strong project management skills and experience working within an integrated team.
- Critical thinking skills to synthesize large datasets into meaningful outcomes.
