Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Planning Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our renewable energy and infrastructure planning efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing approvals and planning teams to secure major project approvals for clients in the renewable energy, mining, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental assessment projects and related approvals management in support of ERM clients' capital project delivery.
  • Build, grow, and manage high-performance teams, serving as a leader and mentor to consultants.
  • Identify emerging talent and work with them to reach their full potential, ensuring rising stars are nurtured, developed, and given new areas of responsibility.
  • Support the growth and development of ERM's Capital Project Delivery service area and collaborate with colleagues across the nation and globe.
  • Drive innovation within the technical community to stay ahead of client needs and differentiate ERM in the market.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • 20+ years of environmental planning and approvals, impact assessment experience, working within WA and Commonwealth legislative requirements.
  • High degree of technical competence in environmental planning and approvals, due diligence, land use planning, post-approval management, and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices.
  • Solid experience building sustaining relationships with major clients.
  • Authorisation to work in Australia.
  • In-depth understanding of project approvals challenges, including existing relationships that can be leveraged into new business.
  • Business acumen to understand business risk and challenges, and recognise corporate opportunities.
  • Demonstrable track record in delivering multimillion-dollar sales results annually, including successfully winning large and strategic projects.
