Senior Front End Engineer for Renewable Energy Projects

We seek a highly skilled Senior Front End Engineer to lead the front-end design and readiness of landmark renewable energy projects in Australia.

This is a full-time position that requires strong technical knowledge of utility-scale solar and/or BESS design, development, and grid connection. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years' experience in renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or industrial project management.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead front-end engineering design and early works activities for project feasibility and readiness.
  • Manage multi-stakeholder engagement with clients, utilities, councils, regulators, landowners, and suppliers.
  • Drive planning approvals, permitting, and regulatory compliance for environmental, grid, and land use.
  • Oversee feasibility studies, surveys, geotechnical investigations, and temporary works.
  • Support early procurement strategies, subcontractor engagement, and risk identification.
  • Provide technical leadership across site readiness, grid connection, and WHS standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering FEED or pre-construction phases of complex projects.
  • Advanced commercial, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with AEMO and NSP grid connection processes highly regarded.
