Job Title: Disability Support Worker
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support, guidance and engagement to individuals with disabilities. This includes:
- Engaging individuals in community-led activities and skills coaching to enhance their abilities to independently undertake tasks
- Providing personal support where required, including toileting, feeding, showering and completing daily case notes, admin tasks and incident reports
- Promoting independence, encouraging inclusiveness and respecting the rights and privacy of individuals with disabilities through engagement and opportunity creation
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or similar qualification
- Working rights in Australia
- A full and valid driver's license
- A current First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A Minimum of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Current and Valid Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) / Working with Children Registration
