Your Role & Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting for our Casual Pool to support worker utilisation within our Children and Youth Services (CYS) team. This position is ideal for professionals who are flexible, resilient and dedicated to making a meaningful impact. Please note that being part of the casual pool does not guarantee ongoing or regular work. We require written confirmation of your consistent availability and individuals employed who do not adhere to our requirements without good reason may not be utilised.

Provide person-centred support to individuals with complex care needs.
-
Uphold and advocate for the rights of participants and young people.
-
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation and community engagement.
-
Implement and adhere to individual care plans and behaviour support strategies.
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of support provided.
-
Collaborate effectively with team members, families, and other stakeholders.
-
Participate in regular training and development opportunities.
Selection Criteria:
-
Evidence of working with people with a complex disability, their families and their informal support networks and/or with children and young people with complex care needs, their families and informal support networks.
-
A strong understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safety framework and NDIS Code of Conduct and/or experience working with children and young people to provide client-centric services that focus on the achievement of individual outcomes.
-
Demonstrated practical experience working within a people-centred and active support model with participants.
-
Demonstrated understanding and/or experience of the requirements to provide support to participants and young people during normal sleep time which includes being available for overnight awake shifts or (based on the team) sleep over shifts.
-
Previous experience working within in a team monitoring team responsibilities and outcomes, addressing conflict or grievances as they arise in accordance with Langford's Policies and procedures including Langford's Code of Conduct.

Demonstrated ability in managing your own time and priorities.
-
Well-developed administrative and computer skills, which includes the ability to document all actions and/or incidents that occurred during a shift.
-
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
-
A resilient and patient personality with a flexible way of working to adapt to changing work priorities and participant and young person's needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
-
Minimum of 12 months experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
-
Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (NDIS endorsed).
-
Current National Police Check (within the last six months).
-
Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
-
Current First Aid Certificate.
-
Administration of Medication Drug Certificate.
-
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You'.
