Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Officer to join our citrus harvest team in Emerald, QLD. This role is vital for maintaining high standards of fruit quality during the harvest season.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting field inspections across citrus blocks, assessing fruit quality based on size, colour, blemishes, ripeness, and signs of damage or disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular field inspections to ensure fruit quality meets industry standards
  • Assess fruit quality using established criteria, including size, colour, and condition
  • Monitor picker performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Record and report quality data accurately and promptly to inform farm management decisions
  • Communicate non-compliance or quality issues to Harvest Supervisors and assist with corrective actions
  • Safely operate farm vehicles to drive between orchard blocks
  • Maintain all necessary records and reports for farm management

Requirements:

  • Experience in citrus harvesting or quality assurance
  • Good physical fitness and health for outdoor work
  • Reliability and punctuality
