As the Quality Control Blast and Paint Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards are consistently maintained to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers.
In addition, you will be tasked with reviewing and reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of quality practices across the business.
This role also involves providing guidance, advice, and support on all quality-related matters to promote continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities IncludeConduct daily surveillance and visual inspections, ensuring product quality meets specified standardsGather objective evidence to confirm the build aligns with design requirementsConfirm that all required maintenance activities have been completedDeliver informal training to Supervisors and Team Leads on workmanship standards and expectationsDemonstrate a clear understanding of quality practices and adhere to the code of conductReview and monitor all quality records required (work packs, manufacturer's data reports, mandatory planned maintenance items, Closing Reports and Task Progression Completion Certificates (TPCCs)) to ensure acceptance by the customerProvide quality support and guidance to other departments while helping to create a team culture through open communication and working together to problem solve creating a good quality cultureMentor and coach production staff and suppliers on the required level of workmanship as defined by the products drawings, specifications, standards and policies fostering a "right first time" cultureAbout YOUStrong knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications, with proven experience working within a Quality Management SystemCertified Coating Inspector, holding NACE CIP Level 2, FROSIO Level 3, or an equivalent qualificationSolid understanding of quality practices and continuous improvement principles (desirable)Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, as well as Defence and Civil Technical Regulatory requirements (desirable)Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance standards and their practical applicationExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environmentWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
