Payroll Governance Delivery Lead 12 Month Contract

The Payroll Governance team ensures that employees are paid correctly across all industrial agreements and awards. We have a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity for a Payroll Governance Delivery Lead to join the team.
This role reports into the Senior Manager, Payroll Governance, and contributes to the organization's strategic objective of demonstrating compliance with Commonwealth, State and Territory workplace laws.
The successful candidate will combine payroll governance expertise with project management skills to build and execute a project plan for payroll governance related activities.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and attention to detail are essential in navigating the complex industrial landscape, while delivering projects to tight deadlines is second nature.
This role offers a collaborative and supportive environment where diverse skills come together to share ideas and knowledge, impacting the business and ensuring accurate payments for employees.
Flexible work options are available, with a minimum requirement of 60% of time spent in the office per week. The role can be based in any of our office locations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A Tertiary qualification in Law, Human Resources Management, Employee Relations or similar field.
- Demonstrated success in a similar role in Payroll Governance and Compliance.
- Experience across Employment and Industrial relations law, including all relevant State and Commonwealth employment-related legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Ability to draft and interpret policies, explanatory materials, and guidance documents.
- Strong understanding of Human Resources systems, policies, and practice in a corporate and customer service operating environment.
- Understanding of and experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and processes to support industrial compliance.
- Proven project management capabilities.
- Intermediate to advanced abilities with the MS Office suite.
