Senior Payroll Specialist

A newly created opportunity exists for a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead payroll processes across multiple entities.
This senior payroll role focuses on delivering accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for over 1,200 staff members.
Collaborate closely with the payroll team to report to an experienced payroll manager in a complex multi-award environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with systems including iChris & Employment Hero.
Key responsibilities include preparing and processing payroll, resolving queries, ensuring compliance, interpreting remuneration packages, and maintaining employee records.
- Process payroll: Prepare and process end-to-end payroll for 1,200+ employees across multiple entities/states.
- Resolve queries: Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant awards, fair work legislation, ATO regulations, and other governing bodies.
- Remuneration interpretation: Accurately interpret remuneration packages, including allowances, bonuses, commissions, salary sacrifice, and fringe benefits.
- Employee record maintenance: Update and maintain employee records on iChris & Employment Hero payroll systems.
