Geotechnical Business Class Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished geotechnical business class leader to drive national engagement in deep foundation design and construction. This position requires strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a cohesive south-east US geotechnical community of practice, aligning exceptional technical approaches with constructible solutions.

  • Represent HDR geotechnical engineering to national and regional clients, fostering strong relationships and elevating quality.
  • Build relationships within all HDR business groups to develop technical expertise and support strategic growth.

This role includes identifying and hiring suitable geotechnical staff to support HDR's strategic direction and emerging markets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and improve technical competencies of geotechnical business class staff in deep foundation design and construction.
  • Engage in alternate delivery projects to provide deep foundation design and construction expertise.
  • Select, train, mentor, and manage geotechnical personnel.
  • Promote the geotechnical practice and establish partnerships to advance innovative concepts and mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to HDR's geotechnical practice and professional discipline groups, project teams, and activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of geotechnical aspects of deep foundation construction and construction claim mitigation, as well as experience leading geotechnical design efforts for public and private clients.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Professional engineering registration or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience in development and management of diverse teams.

Candidates should possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
