Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Installation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our installation and service team, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of flat glass machinery systems.

This role requires frequent travel across Australia and New Zealand, and a proactive approach to customer support, service, and sales. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, maintain, and test flat glass machinery systems.
  • Schedule service visits to meet customer needs.
  • Create and implement preventative maintenance plans for customers.
  • Initiate service contacts and provide phone assistance, technical support, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction.
  • Fault diagnosis and solution implementation.
  • Provide detailed written service reports.
  • Train customers, machine operators, and other service technicians as required.
  • Identify and promote spare parts and tool sales opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between our Spare Parts/Service Department and the Sales Department.
  • Adhere to onsite OH&S procedures.
  • Travel extensively throughout Australia and Internationally.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Field Service Technician in the flat glass machinery sector (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the Glass Industry (required).
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative.
  • Excellent customer service skills with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, mechanical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office Applications & Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills. English (required). Italian (preferred).
  • Relevant Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent to suit the flat glass machinery sector.
