Job Overview:

As a Technical Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional event experiences by providing hands-on technical support and service delivery. You will work closely with the Engineering team to ensure seamless event execution, act as the primary point of contact for clients, and drive technical innovation to enhance our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to design, implement, and maintain high-quality technical solutions for events.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service and meet their technical needs.
  • Drive technical innovation and improvement initiatives to enhance our event services and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to ensure successful event execution.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, guidelines, and cheat sheets for staff and clients.
  • Assist with quality assurance and testing of new event services systems.
  • Train and mentor temporary employees, volunteers, and subcontractors on technical procedures and best practices.
  • Participate in logistics planning and budgeting to ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical expertise in networking principles, hardware, and software maintenance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional event experiences and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an IT field or extensive experience in technical operations.
  • Current driver's license and availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and rotating shifts.
