Job Title: Part Time Animal Care Specialist
Care for lost and surrendered animals, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment.
About the Role- Animal handling skills are essential in this role as you will be responsible for cleaning, feeding, and enriching our animals.
- You will work closely with our vets and vet nurses to report any changes in health or behaviour, and may be required to administer medication to our animals.
- Accurate records must be kept for all animals you care for, and you may be required to identify animals for lost and found inquiries.
- Moving animals to different locations across the shelter is a key part of this role.
- Liaising with the public and council officers is also an important aspect of this position.
- Laundry, animal pens, and vehicles must be maintained on a regular basis.
- Keeping up-to-date records of all impounded animals is crucial.
- Food stock levels must be recorded regularly.
