GPAP is seeking directors who are committed to its mission and values, with a strong ability to lead and collaborate. The successful candidates will have a deep understanding of environmental campaigning, fundraising, finance, and cultural context.

The GPAP Board meets at least six times per year, with formal evening dinners and full-day meetings. Directors are expected to participate in at least one committee, such as Finance and Audit or Governance. The General Assembly, comprising GPAP members, meets once annually.

Candidates should demonstrate leadership, collaborative skills, and the ability to ask hard questions. They will be asked to advise on their primary and secondary skill areas, which may include corporate governance, environmental campaigning, fundraising, finance, research, or scientific literacy.

This role requires a significant time commitment of approximately 15-20 hours per month. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, people with disability, young people, women, neurodiverse individuals, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.
