Additional key responsibilities include communicating complex technical issues, developing conceptual designs for mechanical engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements, preparing estimates, staffing needs and schedules, and interpreting new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data.
As a senior-level professional, you will play a key role in the success of our organization by providing technical leadership, guidance, and direction to team members. Your expertise in mechanical engineering, combined with your exceptional leadership skills, make you an attractive candidate for this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in mechanical engineering and several years of relevant experience. Relevant skills and qualifications include knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods and materials in the mechanical discipline, and of engineering work planning and control methods.
Additional required skills and qualifications include broad knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards, design and/or layout criteria, and the application and coordination of 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools on a project. Experience leading teams of mechanical engineers and designers, as well as holding Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation in Mechanical discipline, is also highly desirable.
