Job Summary

We seek a seasoned Chief Mechanical Design Authority to drive the development of mechanical designs that meet project deliverables.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical Design Delivery
    • Deliver accurate, professional, and compliant mechanical design deliverables using established systems and procedures.
    • Provide proficient and accurate design input for the production of mechanical drawings.
  • Design Review and Compliance
    • Conduct timely reviews of Project mechanical drawings to achieve full compliance with design intent.
  • Engineering Design and Calculations
    • Perform accurate engineering design and calculations in accordance with Project, Client, and regulatory standards.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes.
    • Identify scope variations and prepare relevant documentation accordingly.
  • Equipment Sourcing
    • SOURCE correctly specified equipment to meet project deliverables.
    Requirements
    • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Minimum 10 years post-graduate experience in Mineral Processing in a mechanical capacity desired.
    • Able to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
    • Solid technical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge across a broad range of disciplines.
    • Proven time management and organisational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
