Merchandise Planner

This is a pivotal role where you will provide managerial leadership for a department(s) to curate the optimal mix and flow. Your responsibilities extend to optimizing store mix to maximize profitable sales, fostering effective teams through ongoing coaching, training, and development of associates.


This is a full-time, permanent position.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer operational and managerial coaching to the planning team for weekly shipping strategies, monthly inventory targets, and sales goals.
  • Monitor the business performance of multiple departments, aligning goals with company objectives.
  • Execute sales and profit objectives, implementing business plans aligned with the merchandise strategy and the department's business vision.
  • Anticipate, influence, and challenge inventory flow within departments.
  • Spearhead the setup of new stores, ensuring the team achieves new store targets and stays ahead of their needs.
  • Monitor financial and unit open-to-buy metrics.
  • Develop and manage class plans to ensure appropriate flow to all stores.

Requirements:
  • Essential experience in Buying/Planning, demonstrating business acumen, understanding of Ladder & financial plans, and market awareness.
  • Managerial experience highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mindset with strong influencing skills.
