Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our build milestones are completed in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures at our service centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect workshop jobs in progress to ensure adherence to workmanship standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of subcontracted job operations.
  • Develop inspection test plans and quality control documents to ensure first-time quality achievement.
  • Collaborate with workshop teams to address non-conformances.
  • Maintain calibration registers and coordinate surveillance of works undertaken to comply with required standards and specifications.
  • Identify quality issues and implement error-proofing solutions.
  • Manage welder qualification testing and maintain records.
  • Implement action plans to prevent re-occurrence of non-conformances.
  • Develop sampling plans for critical build components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A junior engineer or fitter/machinist trades qualification with a mechanical background, including knowledge of fabrication processes.
  • Minimum five years' experience in the mechanical/fabrication industry, including experience within established quality assurance systems.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications to determine compliance.
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments, such as verniers, micrometers, and in-house gauges.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
