As a skilled escalator technician, you will be responsible for completing repairs on existing customer sites and ensuring that all elevators and escalators perform to customer expectations.

This position requires extensive experience in handling elevator and escalator maintenance and service. The successful candidate will be skilled in electrical trade qualifications, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an elevator service technician or elevator maintenance technician, hold a current driver's license, and exhibit strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform repair work to return elevators/escalators to full service
  • Keep relevant personnel informed of escalator arrivals, departures, and status at all times
  • Follow established procedures to shut down elevators or escalators deemed unsafe and inoperable
  • Propose material changes to improve escalator performance
  • Maintain a clean workplace and up-to-date files
  • Work overtime or weekends as required

Requirements:

  • Electrical trade qualification/valid electrical license
  • Previous experience as an elevator service technician or elevator maintenance technician
  • Current driver's license
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and customer service etiquette
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
