About the Role

YHA Australia is seeking a Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team in Sydney. This is a casual role that requires a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and experience as a barista in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, including taking orders and operating a point-of-sale terminal and EFTPOS machine.
  • Clean and maintain the cafe area to ensure it meets food safety standards.
  • Support the cafe team with a 'can-do' attitude.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a barista in a premium establishment for at least 2 years.
  • High volume experience and ability to work on multiple orders at once.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Good cash handling skills and multitasking ability.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.
  • Outgoing personality and genuine interest in day-to-day operations.
  • Exceptional presentation and grooming.
