We are seeking a qualified and motivated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to join our team as an Employment Consultant.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural knowledge and understanding of the barriers faced by Indigenous Australians when accessing employment opportunities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing culturally safe and holistic services to clients to overcome barriers and secure sustainable employment.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with local employers and community groups.
- Developing tailored plans for clients to create successful pathways for employment.
You will be working closely with your colleagues to provide a quality service whilst adhering to all contractual and compliance requirements.
The successful candidate will have:
- A deep understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities.
- An ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
