We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive mental health services for older adults.
About the Role:- This is a senior position within our Older Persons Mental Health Service, requiring high-level psychological assessments and interventions for consumers with acute/severe mental health problems.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapies to individuals and their families/carers.
Our Older Persons Mental Health Service provides specialist mental health care for older adults, working in partnership with consumers, families, carers, and other service providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Conducting high-level psychological assessments and brief interventions to address complex mental health needs.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Providing clinical practice supervision to less experienced staff and students on placement.
- Working collaboratively with consumers and their families/carers to achieve identified outcomes.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Specialist who can demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
- Ability to provide high-quality evidence-based clinical/neuropsychology assessments, therapy, and interventions to older adults.
- Capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage with consumers, families, carers, and other service providers.
