We're seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of First Nations Employment Specialist.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of Indigenous Australians. As a First Nations Employment Specialist, you will work closely with clients to provide culturally safe and holistic services that help them overcome barriers and secure sustainable employment.
You will build strong relationships with local employers and community groups to develop tailored plans for clients that create successful pathways for employment. Your expertise will empower clients by positively developing their employability skills, supporting them in finding meaningful employment, and providing support to employers and participants.
The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality services while adhering to all contractual and compliance requirements.
You will thrive in this environment if you are passionate about social justice, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work effectively in a diverse team setting.
This is a full-time role offering a solid salary plus uncapped performance incentives, as well as opportunities for career development and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide culturally safe and holistic services to clients
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local employers and community groups
- Develop tailored plans for clients to create successful pathways for employment
- Empower clients by positively developing their employability skills
- Deliver high-quality services while adhering to all contractual and compliance requirements
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Australian Drivers Licence and comprehensively insured vehicle (may be required)
- Willingness to complete a National Police check
- Ability to pass a Working with Children's check
- Eligibility to work in Australia
