Job SummaryThis is a full-time position for a Security Officer at Monash University's Collins Street campus. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure people's safety and secure buildings.
- Escort individuals around the site as required.
- Lock and unlock property according to protocols.
- Direct and assist people navigating the site.
- Write incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Certificate II in Security Operations and valid security licence.
- Working with children check (or willing to obtain).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Australian working rights.
- Customer-centric approach.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Ability to write detailed security reports.
- Physical fitness for prolonged walking and standing.
- Proven ability to remain alert and focused.
- Paid salary: $27.56 per hour plus superannuation and shift penalties where applicable.
