We are looking for Security Officers to provide security presence at the University campus in Bundoora and to provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
The Role
The role has a rotating roster over 7 days with 12-hour shifts. Duties include:
- Conducting foot patrols of campuses and being willing to walk for prolonged periods;
- Controlling Room coverage and supervising campus activities and events;
- Ensuring property is locked and unlocked as required;
- Directing and helping people to navigate around the campus;
- Writing reports in response to incidents;
- Communicating calmly and clearly with key stakeholders.
About You
- You must be physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods;
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Be friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport with students;
- Have outstanding interpersonal skills;
- Have a strong awareness of surroundings.
What We Are Looking For
- A current Victorian Security Licence;
- A Certificate II in Security Operations with Control Room Licence;
- A current Valid First Aid Certificate (Level 2);
- A Valid Full Driver's Licence.
