
Aboriginal End of Life Care Specialist

The Aboriginal End of Life Care Specialist plays a vital role in providing respectful and culturally appropriate end-of-life care for Aboriginal people within the Sydney Local Health District.
This involves working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, community-based service providers, and patient families to ensure seamless care delivery at the primary healthcare level.
The key responsibilities include leading the development of culturally safe environments for Aboriginal patients and their families, understanding issues affecting Aboriginal people related to grief and loss, and promoting social and emotional wellbeing.
To be successful in this role, you will require relevant qualifications in a field such as nursing, social work, or health management. You must also hold a current NSW Drivers Licence and provide evidence of vaccination to comply with NSW Health policies.
