Job Title: HSE Officer

We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional to support the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager in promoting a safe and compliant working environment across various sites.

The role involves incident reporting and investigation, risk assessments, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) management, maintenance of HSE documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

  • Supporting in HSE Compliance & Risk Management.
  • Travelling to different sites and providing Subcontractor & Site Support.
  • Ensuring overall compliance with HSE regulations, conducting regular site inspections, identifying and mitigating hazards, implementing risk controls, and supporting incident reporting and investigations.
  • Delivering site and new employee inductions, assisting in developing and supporting subcontractors with safety documentation and training.
  • Assisting Site Managers with subcontractor compliance, site presentation standards, and maintaining adequate PPE supplies.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of HSE systems, managing HSE documentation, supporting HSE software integration, and assisting in producing reports and communications.

Key qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum Cert IV WHS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction – Essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian HSE regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites within the Metro Perth region.
