Job Overview

The Contract Manager position leads all aspects of management and reporting for a portfolio of contracts, including institutional grants, privately funded projects, and commercial agreements. This role involves leading the project management of a significant multi-country contract and a portfolio of grants in a geographic sector.

Responsibilities
  • Establish strategic partnerships with donors, partner agencies, and supporters to foster engagement.
  • Monitor field programmatic and financial reporting, address issues, and build capacity as required.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for effective grant management and coordinated engagement with National Offices.
  • Lead or contribute to the coordination of WVA's overall ANCP Portfolio management.
  • Submit timely and quality reports, meeting supporter expectations and WVA standards.
  • Demonstrate leadership and collaboration amongst partners.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of key grant management processes, tools, and resources.
  • Deliver growth within the portfolio by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.
Key Requirements
  • Proven program and project management skills, including contracting and risk management expertise.
  • Significant complex contract management experience, ideally with a portfolio of grants.
  • Program management experience, including results communication.
  • Account management or commercial experience in identifying opportunities.
  • Understanding of procurement and grants structures and processes.
  • Ability to work in fragile environments and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, International Relations, or a relevant technical field.
