We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to lead our commercial management team.
This role is ideal for a skilled professional who can develop and implement procurement strategies, manage subcontractor engagement, and ensure packages are scoped and delivered efficiently.
- Lead the end-to-end commercial management of large subcontracts and self-performed works.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Manage subcontractor engagement and ensure packages are scoped and delivered efficiently.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior commercial staff.
- Maintain strong subcontractor relationships and market awareness to drive value and effective contract negotiation.
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction and engineering industry.
- Experience in all stages of subcontract management, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations management, completion, and close-out.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- A current C-Class Driver's Licence.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of construction law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Capacity to mentor and develop junior staff.
